Corbeau (corbel)

A corbel is a part of a construction protruding from a wall or pilier (pillar), which supports another part of the construction above it (think e.g. of corbels for balconies).
These corbeaux support a bandeau (cornice) on the walls of the chœur (choir) of the Saint-Bonnet in Saint-Bonnet-de-Cray.
