Scotie (scotie)

A ring consisting of a hollow semicircle.
The scotie is located between the torre (torus) and the base of a column footing.
Although these colonnes (columns) are modern, the various parts of a column footing are clearly distinguishable in this picture taken in the Saint-Etienne in Melay.
On top the torre, below that the scotie, than a thicker torus, which forms the base, and the square footing is the socle.
